REAL WEALTH’S WORTH

Our lives are our wealth
We spend in seconds,
…minutes
…hours
…days
…months
…and years as our life’s real currencies
The biggest currency is a year
So be sure to buy something worthwhile
…every year of your life

II
You can buy materialistic things
But those are not wealth to last
Buy goodness to sell impact
Buy greatness to sell examples
Buy happiness to sell laughter
Buy content to sell smiles
Above all
Buy love to sell unforgettable memories

III
A day will come when worldly materials will sit
…as your life’s hard earned reputation works
…for your good
Imagine a life wasted on protecting materialism
Buying nothing worthy of protection
Your guess is as good as mine
You will wallow in loneliness
Get stuck in regrets
Fall ill in self blame
Cry in bitterness
And die in oblivion

IV
So by all means amass wealth
But be sure you are buying good deeds with your life
So as not to waste an expensive living
Buying things easy to lose
Leaving you naked with worry
…and aged with a sorry
…which can never knock on ears of its intended
Life is but a candle
…needed to be lit to shine
…not to float on ill waters to whine
A great drummer hits hard where great sounds emanate
Real wealth are in hearts
…where no eye sees
…no moth touches
…and no tick tock can make useless
So spend your life cleverly and wisely

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
