THE HORRORS OF SHAMING OTHERS

Once upon a time, aboa Sonholi
Saw Kɔntutu and spat in a town called Foli
Sonholi went on to insult Kɔntutu
Took a basket and made sure he did it butu
And went ahead to taunt it

II
Sonholi called Kɔntutu atantandeɛ
Citing her hairless neck as ahuhudeɛ
Taunting it until she wept kro kro kro kro
Some Nkokɔ advised him with empathetic kro kro kro kro
But Sonholi still went on to haunt it

III
Nana Nyame saw the wickedness of Sonholi
And sent a message through the Okomfo of Foli
To be careful not to invite heavenly duabɔ
Onto his generation to stop their kankɔ
But Sonholi did not pay heed to it

IV
So Nana Nyame sent Ɔsoro Gya
To burn Sonholi’s neck and thighs and show his near adagya
Sonholi fled the house into nwura mu
Due to its near nakedness and aniwu
Thinking it was less than fit

V
And so his generation suffered the Ɔsoro abufuo
And lived the curse of Ɔsoro aniwuo
Making all know the horrors of shaming others
Just because you have full feathers
That ended the story of Sonholi and his shameful fit

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
