TAKE A CUE

As the earth wheels to times unknown
With its anger so visible shown
Through its disasters which we term overblown
Let us take a cue and work to help it calm

II
For Cornflowers have seen droughts and floods
Bunchberry has seen a heatwave killing many
The Golden Wattle has burned in catastrophic panic and destruction
And now The Red Carnation suffers
…from the burns and ashes of volcanic eruptions
Won’t you take a cue to calm our earth?

III
Go back to your tables
And dedicate time for the earth to breathe
Just as our African ancestors
…in their knowledge, did
Now go back to your thinking tables
And stop your carbon emissions
…causing the fury of the earth and its destructions
Go back into your thinking caps
And fetch the sense of planting more trees
And tending to more bees
To help rebuild our earth

IV
For in its anger
…it can cook us to feed
In its fury
…it can drown us to succeed
If it gets livid
…it can storm our world to stop our breaths
The angry earth will know no class
…talk less of development
It will know no wealth
…talk less royalty
It will raze everything in its craze to heal
None can have a say
So let’s take a cue and calm this earth
…this earth which hosts and feeds us

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
