CHILD

Child
Don’t go rushing to Love Town
Because its slippery slopes can throw you down
Without acting mild

II
Child
Don’t go fighting to see Love’s Almighty Cupid
As that is all shades of stupid
Trust me, after Love’s whips, much sorrow will be piled

III
Child
Don’t go stepping on wise heads
Throwing tantrums to be allowed on pleasure beds
Thinking you’re wild

IV
For there are roses
…whose thorns, like experienced pilolowers, hide
And show themselves to only those who abide
…by patience’s rules and take many of time’s doses

V
Child
There is nothing beautiful about acting wild
Love’s hurts know nothing about being mild
If you step on its deceptions and push for a heartache case to be filed

VI
So live like a child this time when you’re a child
Listen to wise mouths as they talk
Watch the path of your dreams and steadily walk
Don’t go throwing age stones to have Love’s monsters riled
For Love’s downside never acts mild
…to none, not even to an innocent child

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
