Once upon a time
Stems of mushrooms were accused of many a crime
That they are the cause of their own downfall
Because they worked not hard enough in their sunny call
Their umbrellaring covers taunted them with their protection
Always saying they needed to be grateful for their attention
Meanwhile they sucked the sun and gave the stems little
They absorbed the moon and gave the stems their spittle
They sucked the rains and forced the stems to marvel
At the fact that they look strong and don’t shrivel
Until a truthful storm uprooted their forms
Turning upside down their forms
The stems tasted suns, moons and rains
And watched in shock their former covernies energy drain in their strains
Unable to bear their shame
They began to rot as the earth prompted
As karma, a high I-told-you-so stage mounted
