LETTING GO

In this heat of memories
Where many a past monsters now model sorries
I look up to the future unknown
And look back at the hurts I still mourn
Before looking into the eyes of regrets
I see the burning frets
And forget the foe
So I’m thinking of letting go

II
Carrying hurts are burdens set to stifle my growth
…I know
A hating heart is not without self loathe
…I know
If I were an immortal
I’d try a hating for a hundred or so years
But I know the horrors and fears
…associated with transiency attached to mortality
So I’m letting go
…letting go of you as a foe

III
I will forgive and remember
To my bitterness dismember
I will let go for success’ wings
To stop my soul from hateful rings
…boxed by thoughts which hurt
And stop my mouth from a hating blurt

IV
For letting go is freedom
Letting go blesses with a peaceful kingdom
Hold no cutting reigns of pain
So you can, your full self esteem, gain
I’m letting go
So you let go
…to let others let go
So like a spider web
We’ll build a fort of love
…to aid us journey happily through life

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
