They bonded
…bonded on their hatred like pins on a magnet
They bonded
…drawn together by their anger towards him like flies on fecal matter
They bonded
…overlooking their personal clashes
…promising to crash and burn their foe into ashes
And so they schemed and haunted him
In that big office
II
There was always tension
When they sat together for a moment without his mention
…their foe
There was always a breeding angst
When they met without their foe in sight
But they rekindled their schemes
And laughed
Where they failed in their plots
…they cried together
Until their foe who was kept on his toes
…got an awesome flight of a promotion elsewhere
…and resigned
III
The common factor
…which sucked their angst gone
Tensions gained mentions
The new neck called out the new head
…for using him as ladder to climb
The two shoulders called out neck and head
…for using them as stairs to climb
The old legs pegged to their positions
…accused them all
…for using them as footmats to enter new realms
So the chaos started
But did it end easily?
IV
Let’s just say
Some legs were cut off
…buried and replaced with prosthetics
And neck was axed and replaced with a struggling-to-fit new
Making job syncing a daunting task
Forcing the overall boss to descend on the headship
…decapitating him and bringing in a new
…who no one knew
And so it was
…most of the common foe members lost their jobs
And walked the land as their former foe flew the skies
Always looking down their pates and calling it beautiful nature
Sore fate, isn’t it?
