A FINER GENTLEMAN

I housed the cage of my rage in my image
My tears climbing a mountain
…and pouring in and out of an internal fountain
Making my smiles painful even on an eventful stage
Until you walked in

II
Never knew I would see me
In a blessed be
Footwear put on my legs by hands so strong
Hugs, tight in arms welcoming me to belong
…as a heart sings pure pure love songs
In a recurring state needing no begging

III
Cold nights have vanished with their lonely frights
Jealous sights have turned lovely on lovers’ sites
You sure have given me strong wings in flight
You’re the light on my naughty path
Overseeing all the stubbornness even in a bath

IV
If ever my strength communicates lack of love
…counter it with your sanity
For I never let down my defenses
…even in the absence of one I’m not fond of
Like fire, I only burn those who touch my flames
…never those who light me up and stay off
Only you light me up
So you can use my heat to your good advantage
While working around my safety measures

V
So let words write themselves beautifully
…in our hearts, fully
Let our minds accord the records of our hearts with the loyalty
…they deserve
Let our insurance be our faithful assurance
Till we grow into fruition or die out
Ours is a story between a gory glory
…and a worry story, an imperfect perfection which can branch to any direction
As you and I alternate in Cupid’s only driver’s seat

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
