If Kwaku Ananse’s fate
Of always stirring hate
Incurred many baits
How many would’ve had that death date
Or ended on his webby plate?
II
Feel the hate
Wait and deflate
The stone-like gate
Of blocked freedom in loving fate
Do this or dear mate, do mate
The hatred until the hurts turn and hammer your pate
Like a nail in wood, till you, this earth evacuate

Sadly people use FB as a platform to spew venomous diatribes against others of a different race, religion, political views, etc…. I used to post my poetry in various FB poetry groups but now I stay away for the most part. People hide behind masks or even the Bible using scripture to rip others apart. Now I concentrate mostly on my blogs.

It is the best way. Just keep them, go there once in a while to interact but concentrate more on your blogs. Most of the scammers are there.

There are many good poets in these groups but they are often overshadowed by the bigots. One must be very careful in FB Land.

True. One must be very careful. I am in a few but I don’t normally go there.

Hate is a voracious cancer for the one harboring it, for society, and for the person/s it is directed at. It is the tool of Satan to destroy us and plant his seeds of destruction. There are times I get on FB only to find someone spewing hatred, malice, and ignorance upon all willing to listen or even chime in. I usually delete that person as I do not want to be associated with such corrosive world views. It is so sad that we are still fostering hate within our hearts and homes. I think the worst thing I’ve seen in many a year is the look of hatred on a small child’s face due to the teachings of the parent. Their twisted, angry countenance quickly sends chills up the spine. Some thrive on hate and causing trouble but that is why we must speak often and loudly against hate. Great work, thank you for sharing your ideals.

You are too generous to me dearest Cecilia. I am like you , a woman struggling to make a difference in world that does not want to listen. This is why our quest is so incredibly important.
