ANANSE DAYS (HAIKU)

anansi

I

Know this, in times past

Kwaku Ananse, Ghana

Taught children the right

II

His taunts, jeers, cunning

Mostly nearly made him a

Frankenstein Monster

III

Yet he lived on in

Fresh new episodes brewing

Trickeries and mischiefs

IV

Children loved him? Yes.

Children loathed and feared his taunts

Yet waited for more

V

Yes, by the fireside

They waited to hear from him

To cheer, cry or learn

VI

But now they do hide

Watching their pads and browsing

Chatting, no learning

VII

Urbanization!

Massive intelligence coup!

Please let rurals rule!

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)

But Rajiv, though some minds are not grown, most minds are very matured even without education. I believe the discipline was apt and the world then was better. Not to talk of people lived with people and not around people. I would have wished to live there then.
