When darkness folds its arms around the earth
And many living things rest fearing no death
Goosebumps from beneath this skin cry
Wishing you are nigh
When the owls take charge
And the bats seek charge
These eyes which must close tight
Wander and know that your presence will do right
So which part of passion developed wings?
Which cupid hymns did we fail to sing?
Which gross mistake did we fail to set right?
These complaining lonely nights do give me fright.
