Here, Gaza sleeps and snores in peace
There, Gaza has no eyes
He is a shred of dirty clothes torn to pieces
Many are asking the whys
II
It’s amazing how peace stems from each
But one’s chaos can cost OTHERS their peace
There, in Gaza, drums of blood flood floors of each house
Millions of unlived lives and unsaid vows
…lay buried in states the world must preach
…and stand against to teach
Many many others
But a little is known
About the bitterness being sown
And the many being blown
…by guns in hands unknown
III
Here, I walk alone on this Gaza stretch
Unarmed
Untargeted
Unharmed
In safety
But there, he is a wretch
…oh so wretched he feels so empty
IV
If there is a peace to give
I’d surely gift it to Gaza
If I had harmony to give
I’d so give it to Israel
But I walk here helplessly
Thinking of women and children and the disabled and dead
Who are being so so fed
…to a land so satisfied
And wish for a future of peace
Hopefully
For the Gaza there
From the Gaza here
Here, in Kumasi

Pray for peace in Jerusalem, not political peace by treaties, and legal contracts, but true peace of humans with God. I’m afraid we’ll all be wearing the garments of Gaza before that happens. We are a very prideful, warring lot.
So much truth and sorrow in your poem.
