CHURCH AGENDA

I will go to church today
And act just like a spider weaves its web
I sure will pluck that drummer on the Praises Team
With this golden voice and a holy beam
And shame all the eyes which chase my target
Although my voice is higher than a guinea fowl
I’ll make it soft like a flirting dove’s
And I will act coy just to get the boy to be my love toy

I sure must be at church for my target today
Ten thousand dollars to buy materials
…to rake in the women and girls
And to force knees of men on my very ground
I must be at church
To hold on to the power which subdues
Making graduates my bitches
Although I never saw the chairs in any high school
And make their higher ups my puppets
Doing as I say to keep me up the abnormal human classes
Yes, my children can fly to places I couldn’t fly to
And my voice can be added to the voices of reason
Nothing will stop me from going to church ever

I am going to church today to fill in the blanks
Of the marital breakdown of Sister Judy
She who lived like a peacock
And rejected many high suitors including me
She who acted like the only angel in the congregation, always speaking in strange tongues
While boasting of marrying a virgin
She who acted like a higher being
And walked without her feet touching the ground
Those juicy details must grace my ear pots
I can’t stand to miss, I know brother Joe will know
I sure must go to church

For I hear Honorable will visit
She who promised to help me get a job
When she was campaigning
And ended up blocking me after winning
She whose house was open to all during the campaign season
Only to have muscled men at her gate
Seconds after winning
She who now sits on money throne
And can make my unmade
I must catch her unawares
To force her to fulfill her promise
Didn’t I go dirty
Slander many and shout myself hoarse just to help her win?

My earrings
…auctioned in Italy
I can see Brother Sammy also wants to showcase his suit
…and cuffs and tie
Looking good must poke the eyes of gossips
Who dress like paupers
But have mouths like sharp scissors
