Man, know your place
You’re no human to act Nana Nyame
…telling tales of how a woman must live
…must dress
…must eat
…must birth
…must nurture
…must act
…must love
…must walk
…must talk
…must sit
…must work
Because instead of a deep hole of life
You only have a shooter which knows not its depth
II
When you talk like a parrot
On the wellbeing and body of a woman
You become a rotten pawpaw beneath its tree
With poisonous seeds
…aiming at killing the tree that fuelled, flowered, fruited and felled it
Yours is to have open ears
Swift eyes
Loving arms
A ready shoulder
To listen while looking
To hold while padding
Till a woman’s body heals
…from whatever torment which chases her
III
For her body is God’s machine which ferried you here
And your body can NEVER feel the heat of her ails
Her body is like the ship which commutes between unlife and life
To give you life which now gives you a mouth
The strength
…and the body you parade as your shoulders ride on ego to push her
…down the lane of a non-entity
Funny that you were no one
…until a she made you one man
IV
So have an opinion on experiences which you can have
Draw beauty from her comfort and not her pain
Make her life a sacred temple in which you worship
Love her entirely for her existence
And not upon your thoughtless insistence
For a man is naught without a woman
A girl is the future of man
A boy will be all he wants to be
But the world will fall without wombs which give generations seeds to breed
So man, know your place
In the presence of your worthy goddesses
For a woman is thy God herein
Believe it or yes

I hope the sperm from which you came was released by you.
You ain’t God.

I hope you the egg you came from was released by you, the womb that haboured you was made by you and the little hole which tore to birth you was also yours. You will never be God.
