YOUR SITUATION, NOT YOUR PREJUDICES

When you’re casting your vote next time
Remember Ghana is one place for all
Difficult decisions demand difficult measures
For a national problem knows no differences

You can be an NDC man arguing your disgust with an NPP man in a vehicle
When the poor roads arrest the tires for fatalities
You will all face the torture
For there is nothing like NPP, NDC problem on national level
You can drape yourself in party colours
And still, contaminated water will kill you
You can be a high ended foot soldier
When dumsor strikes
…it strkes us all
You can be Head of Communications
When the taxes hit, know your time off that stool will come
…you’ll dance to the music of your sect
You can be an all round politician
When our education dwindles
Even your foreign schooled children will fit not
…in the bad systems
For poor performance knows no human differences
Negligence knows no party colours
Corruption affects all
So do your best to choose right

Sometimes your dislike for a person might just be the clue you need
To know the competence of that person
Sometimes the ethnicity which blinds
…might be the thing you need to vote out your mind
…before your real voting
Sometimes your prejudices form the poison
…of this very nation
So when next you’re voting
Look into character and competence
Rather than colours
For when you vote for a hungry lion as an antelope
You know who will be devoured when hunger strikes
