THE ESSENCE OF LIVING

Not all heroes have superpowers
…fly in capes
…walk with swords
…gallop with horses
…and appear like magic
Some are live ordinary like us

A pure water seller can save you from dying of thirst
…she becomes your heroine
A hospital cleaner can save you from an infection
…he becomes your hero
An electrician can save you from being electrocuted
…he becomes your hero
A doctor can save your life
…she becomes your heroine
A driver can save you from an accident
…he becomes your hero
A stranger can save you from a fall
…she becomes your heroine

III
So stop looking for magical heroes
And be vigilant enough to see the real ones
They live with or around you
You meet or have great encounters with them everyday
You feed off their smiles
…and live off their laughter
You see in them the sun and moon and stars
…and sometimes your reflective dark
Learn to see their efforts
…and appreciate them
For that is the essence of living
