WEIGHT OF WORDS

Mark it
A word loses its weight
When it peaks and it’s used as bait
So rate a word to know its state
Before you commit to its meaning

Ib
There a beauty stands
Knee deep in the pool of her own tears
Reiterating the fears which rains on her day
Due to her belief in the word forever

II
Forever today can mean “till lust runs out”
Forever today can be “till I find someone else”
Forever today can be “till I see the real you”
Forever today can mean “till your wealth runs out”
Forever today can be “till your beauty fades”
Forever today can be “till you gain weight”
Forever today can mean “till your fame turns lame”
Forever today can be “till our common enemy dies”
Forever today can mean “till you fall ill”
Only in few instances does it mean “till death do us part”
And in rare circumstances you find “Even after death part us”

III
So when you see beware tagged on a gate
Forget the dogs and think of the words
…said to you in passionate realms
For a dog’s bite might have an antidote
But some disappointments can suck out your breath
To leave you dry of the one thing that matters
…Life

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
