The sky feeds the earth rains, suns and moons
To help it fertilize and light up
…among other things
Sucking up some of its heat
For it hovers above
And towers in wealth
So should the world’s wealthy

Abundance floods in hoarding
…so calls for sharing
Sharing, like a smiling contagion
…shows a care in humanity
…that all good gods push
And the omnipotent God rewards for
So show some noblesse oblige this season
To help others join your laughter with smiles
As your sympathy shatters their pity
And your kindness lights hope
…to help others cope
