CHRISTMAS UNMASKED

The first didn’t know well
…enough to know a future where a saviour’s angelic bell
…will only be a laughable fantasy sale
And a brush off fail
…to shepherds who care not for their sheep’s wail
Even as wolves lurk in devouring them one after the other

II
Joy to the world should have been to the heavens
…for it knew its fluttering cravings
Because the Lord did come to be turned devil
By weevils who imprison his name to a horrible level
To sit clothed in the sins of evil

III
Those who jingle bells are either like children
…or are children
For none of the treasured horses
…survive the whips of their wicked bosses
So how can they still sleigh after their many losses
…when the fun to ride hides in horrific causes?

IV
The one who sang creation stories
And proclaimed a messiah’s birth and glories
Foretold not of his death
…which would be used to break the rules of his birth
…to tarnish the very essence of the storied death
If he did
…who would’ve bought the bid
…but perverted conceited souls whose hearts were frigid?

V
If all the faithful did go to adore him
With all their pleasures and the songster’s vim
Could they have known his name will be bane
Served by some apostles hiding in being many a villain?

VI
If we trimmed not our traditions
To fit our living conditions
And followed other traditions
To make them orders of our conditions
Then we sure need a wake up call
…to stop the rot its unfit stench is causing in our hall
It sure will start by unmasking Christmas
…and undoing the birth to stop the death
So we can take on our responsibilities
…from our very births
