In a twinkle of an eye
A tongue can push you through filth
To clothe you with a lie
So much so no truth can desilt
Because tongues are not only sharper than swords
…they’re more poisonous than serpents
II
In a twinkle of an eye
A mouth can take you south of your north
And cover your sun rising in your east
…to kill it from reaching your west
Why?
Because mouths are not only unpredictable with words
…they host much more venom than cobras
III
In just a twinkle of an eye
A finger, backed by a bad mind
…can file off the shine from your stardom
Why?
Because some hearts live in love of others’ fall
…forgetting they’re spending expensive time
…which could buy greatness for themselves
IV
Humanity and horrid humidity!
Hustles and hopelessness!
Heckles and horrors!
Hoists and history!
Hatred hides in hard hunts
…hissing and hindering hearts
…honking for happiness
