I will wrap you
…yes, you leaders
In this parcel as Land
And respectfully tell a satiric tale
…hoping the mirrors of reflection
…show you to you
To help right a path going wrong
So regrets can live in books
…without using us as it’s guinea pigs
Ib
Once upon a time
Rain was the best friend of land
They dined together
And did everything together
II
Land which could not fly the sky
Started feeling superior to Rain
…because of its hosting position
So it drank up rivers
And looked on as his inhabitants blocked many river ways
…and used and abused rain and her wards
Until rain felt suffocated
III
Rain tried to tell Land her problem
But the latter always brushed it aside
The pressure from Sky and Rain’s children
…forced the lattee to start a flood warning
Still, Land pretended not to have seen
Rain continued to give flood warning in its Season
They all went unnoticed
IV
Rain told Air about her plight
“All I want are better river ways
…for my children to move freely
And for my places of work to be left untampered
But Land is proving stubborn
Killing my children
And blocking their paths”
Air agreed to help Rain
V
One Saturday
Land woke up as half mud
His bones had turned stone
…advertising themselves to blasters
His winged inhabitants who were able to swerve
…the deadly wrath of Rain
Hovered with no land to settle on
His cherished trees laid bottom up
…waiting for their rot
Death ruled lives and threatened extinction
Water had taken over Land
Land struggled for a long time to recover
…to no avail
