FOR THE GIRL

If you all connive to bar a door
By stomping and hitting on its beautiful floor
Knowing that is your one and only way
From life’s clay to your decay
Then like the God of languages
…create a word to suit your thoughts

II
The girl is mother of the biblical man
Whose womb is the only barrier to cross extinction
So if you take away her knowledge
And force her to give life
With what will she weave another mind
…to fit growth?

II
You call her abomination
Who creates a nation
Because she sheds blood
…to clean life’s room
When you were formed from the abomination
And can talk because of that blood
Coin a name to suit you

III
See her a pleasure tool
If only you’re okay in knowing you’re a pleasure product!
See her as a kitchen napkin
If you can relate to being a laddle
See her as a trophy
If you can relate to being her horse
See her as your slave
If only you can whip your mother
…and brand her useless

IV
If you step on one woman in disrespect
You step on all women who made you!
If you joke with girls and cut off their ambitions
You’re cutting off lifelines of knowledge
From your future generation
Nothing can work to perfection
If the womb is made tomb of uselessness
A girl is mother of the man
And holds the power of life
This is enough to power her above all else
So live the wisdom of her freedom
…by pushing high her ambitions

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
