PLAY A GOOD TRUMPET

Play a good trumpet
Not one with rusted channels
…and broken tunnels
To stop you from turning puppet
…on a fool’s set

II
Play a good trumpet
So you can cut the cowering clowning
…of your sewing tempers
Just as the sun lights the earth
…at a good positioning
Your posture tells your stature

III
Play a good trumpet
Insult not a home which sheltered your life
…into humanity
That makes you a cock
…wiping it’s beak clean after being heavily fed
Ingrates are goods needed to pacify good gods and goddesses

IV
Play a good trumpet
Follow no crowd just to cultivate no fans of cowardly pride
Clean when a ranch gets smelly
Branch when hate hounds healers
Help out when bad wrestles good
None changes a thing by following a bad crowd
If you need your black cloth to be respected
…use a workable soap of discipline
…with water of courage
None revels in sewage and takes offense
…at noses which call foul at their sight
So just play a good trumpet
