AN ODE FOR EDDY

When humans play life’s pet
And their good suns set
They leave memories of their shine
And cause their beloved to whine
That’s the analogy you’ve left behind
…in my mind

II
I hear the pleasing sounds of impeccable English
I hear the beautiful sound of a laughter so ticklish
I see your shadow even in this dark
So you sure did make your mark
For you have made a writer yearn and worry
Knowing she’ll never be graced with your form and is sorry

III
Your kind of love
…was surely the preserve from above
For you opened your heart to all
Even after you took many a fall
You’ll promptly answer a call
And will always show in any supporting hall

IV
I’ll miss the edits you threw
And the ignorance which flew
…from my ever learning head
I’ll miss the smiles you fed
And your wisdom which accompanied to bed
Selfless people, like you, turn gods and myths
Leaving voids and turning our known channels into labyrinths

V
Rest in power
Even as you with sadness us shower
Rest in peace
Even as we’re shot with your gone disease
If there is ever a world you’ll belong
May their many meet you with a congratulatory song
For your life made all belong
And your selflessness has turned a song
In hearts which will forever long
…for you

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
