If a squirrel

Stays in its hole

Fearing trouble,

Fire finds it

And it is smoked out

Into a hot saucepan

If a bird

Stays on one tree

Like a person tied to a bed

Fearing a bullet

A gun finds it

And it ends up a kebab

Let legs take you places

Let hands determine your paces

Let eyes search new faces

Let ears stand as effective soldiers

As your receivers receive for action

We, humans, also find ourselves in the squirrel’s situation at times. Those who come out and face the danger unmindful of the outcome are any day better than the ones who end up in the saucepan of self-doubt. Thanks for the educating post!
