THE TAUNT THAT TURNED TO HAUNT (AMOAFOWAA’S LA’LIBERTAS)

how-to-deal-with-rejection1

I

When hands touched hands

We hugged and kissed

Laughed and teased

That was what streghtened its stands

II

We fought poverty

Battle sicknesses

Were each other’s blanket

Cried in each other’s arms

Loved truly in hunger

And prayed for the rains to seize

III

Then the sun begun to shine

You cried confusion

Denied emotion

And started to whine

IV

What changed so fast?

What acted like a catalyst of doom?

What was the taunt that turned to haunt?

Back time traveller

Be no fantasy

Just be my tool and take me back

V

“Mmre adwane agya me

Ama m’ani sa m’akyi”

Amoafowaa Sefa Cecilia (c) 2014

(The last line reads; time has taken my lead making me long for the past in Akan; a Ghanaian Language)

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
