Cry me a river.

Cry me a river in a shiver

For I have paid treachery dues

Refusing to yield to subtle cries from those who cared

And living like the world was a fancy club

Worshipping alcohol and weed

While reveling in touches of unknown hands

Fearing nothing, hearing no reason and seeing no good

Cry me a river

Cry me a river in a shiver

For I was made to pay pain dues

Stripped of a mother,

Stripped of a father, both by death and

Kicked into the abyss of foolery by shock

While poverty whips with a full-fledged metal with thirsty needles

As my visitors; hunger and thirst, forced my hand to sign the agreement of tenancy

Cry me a river.

Cry me a river in a shiver

For I have paid suffering dues

Raped by the eyes of doubts and suspicion

Slapped by the fountain of hatred

Rebuked and hated by percentages of blood which flows through my veins

As rains of despair clogged my lungs

Like the closed gates of Satan

Cry me a river

Cry me a river in a shiver

For I have paid trial dues

Taken advantage of by hands of no sympathy,

Working in the fuming rain,

Trembling in the raging storm,

As affording souls snore in bosoms of rest

In my quest to my competency prove

Cry me a river

Cry me a river in a shiver

For I have paid cast-away dues

Thrown out like a bag of defecation.

Removed like an inexpensive different fabric sewn and unsewn

And thrown into a burning brim fire,

Saved untimely, leaving this heartache of tending to un-healable wounds

In the full glare of all under the sky, as flies jubilate in keeping me company

So cry me a river.

Cry me a river in a shiver

As you learn from my gaffes.

Cry me a river with thoughts of your lives’ reforming

Clearing your hearts of flimsy transient worldly happiness

While listening to reason.

Treasure lives with open hearts

And love every moment of laughter.

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
