In this jungle
…where every mouth has a voice to handle
…and every eye has a sight like candle
…we see more differences than we can handle
II
Colours are battling over the best
…while biological differences wage wars with many a crest
Can’t fathom battles of serving a God who created you and the rest
…using superiority as a crest
There is black on black battle
…where geography is the hustle
There is a black on black battle
…where biology is the hustle
There is a black on black battle
…where class is the hustle
Heck, there is a black on black battle
…where tribes hold guns on differences
These are giving me contusions
III
And there are the white on white battles
…where biological battles are fought on duty grounds
There are the white on white battles
…where the north shoots its canons on the West
What about the southern loud canonic fest?
Then blonds and dark-haired and silver and grey haired turn on each other as hounds
What about the eye-colour battles?
These confusions are giving me contusions
IV
Then there are the yellows in their bellows
…yellow on yellow materialistic hounds
…forcing the poor to hide in their needy grounds
They fight on boundaries
…systems and nations
… competitive mind games have unalived many in their saintly nations
V.
Then there are the white on blacks
…blacks on whites
There are the yellows on blacks
…blacks on yellows
There are the whites on yellows
…yellows on whites
Humanities are targeted like sitting ducks on a battlefield
My confusions have turned into contusions
VI
When will peace reign on these insanes to make us sane?
When will the cock and hen know they’re both fowls
…with same shaped beaks pecking for feeds?
When will the cheetah and lion know they’re both carnivores
…with different skin but same damn speed and fearful features?
When will the herbivore accept carnivores as God’s created and vise versa
And let the omnivores live in their created’s nature?
When will love walk on the runway of our lives
…wearing peace
…modelling harmony
…with scents of togetherness to help minds rest?
Must there be chaos at every turn of life’s difficult corners?
Must there be an uprise at every burn in this mortal fallible existence?
Must hearts always on small issues churn like bones burning into urn?
What are these battles we always engage in?
VII
And all these for a brief transition
…that this earth gives
Selling fatigue at the prices of our lives
Only to regret on the beds of our deaths
…thinking how foolish we loved our lives to be
If sense has climbed the apata
As peace hides in the punches of our mouths, actions and fists
Let’s battle to our extinction
SHALL WE?
