ABUSERS AND THEIR AIDS

They act like the righteous ones needing praise
Wanting the populace to think they are our culture’s higher raise
They sing songs of the faults of the abused
When they are the ones who always have them emotionally used
They act so so confused in the grips of the law
After causing the abused lifetimes of sore
Abusers, that is their traits

II
“She wore a short dress so I had to teach her a lesson
She danced provocatively so I had to teach her a lesson
She put on makeups so I had to teach her a lesson
Her dress was too light so she enticed me
You know a man wakes at what they see
They called for it by walking in the dark
I had to teach her a lesson to make my mark
She drank and touched to abuse me first
…so I had to quench my thirst
Oh, we were in a relationship
…which nearly led to courtship”
Yes, these are some of the stories of abusers

III
A country has no future
If it can protect not women in its structure
A country has no future
If its women live in fear
…with many a hidden tear
So dig out the bad
…and cage the mad
Strike out their aids
…and let them fade
For the chorus is even deadlier than they who do what morality long forbade
As they show they do get away so far
So a man who sees to molest must be Caged and not be made a star
For this is a free nation not a rape bar
Please…

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
