STRERROWS

Just when plants of happiness grow gay
As seeds of hope nurse in dismay
Trees of pain sprout like mushrooms
…to plight a day
But I’ve seen so many days with this mark
And so I’ll live in the track of hope
Awaiting a clearance

II
Strength is not mine to steer
…but Odomankomah’s
He alone knows the make up of my bones
Life is not mine to sustain
Otwereduampong alone knows when to pull my plug
And so I live under these trees of pain
…trees sucking sun rays and cooling rains
Knowing chances downhill and uphill
If I am meant to win this war
These sores I see today will tell stories of strength
…strength gifted by my maker
And if I’m meant to lay my tools to rest
These bones will tell stories of victory
Of a life short but felt
…in this lifetime

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
