CAN WE GO WRONG?

Is there a day
You’ll look at me and say
“I detest you and I in stay?”
Is there a day
What you and I feel will decay
…chewed by familiarity, time and many a friction?
I am wondering
…just wondering

Because I see the twinkle in your eyes
And I feel like believing in the forever many think a lie
I see how I make your temperature go high
And I feel like a sour ending will make me cry
I see how your heartbeats race when I say bye
And I feel like an end will bend my hope into an utter fie
Will there be a time you and I will part due to friction?

I know thinking doom in happiness can harm
I know it is best to enjoy love when flutterly warm
I know it is bad luck to think ill in a lovely charm
But this is a love farm
And anything can happen to suck out the charm
And so I wonder how we’ll handle any hopeless friction

I hope we cope on that sour slope and hold on to hope
I pray we stay and play in a day when our emotions stray
I wish we dish our wishes on truthful plates when we land in love’s loss net as caught ditches
So we can arrive, at worse, at a friendship
…capable of saving our relationship
For this feeling falling short dangles panic in my mind’s room
Even as you think yourself as my only fitting groom
