As the beard of the Tulip burns
And they yearn for priceless peace
Impala Lily which turns
Knows peace is not for lease
II
Because hunger in peace is better than hunger
…with the pangs of war
Because anger in peace is better than anger
…with the angst of sores
Because danger in peace is better than danger
…added to the pangs of war
Nothing scares more than palpable but unseen bullets
Nothing enrages more than being forced to develop eyes
…on all body parts
There is nothing stranger than crawling on your own land
…afraid your steps might call harm for you
So I hope we learn
…we here, at Impala Lily
III
We play and insult
We fight and eat together
We hate and we love
We push to know our strangers
We abhor but we bear
We argue to get things clearer
This is a peace only few nations can afford
So let none use bitterness to dig into our harmony
To uproot the peace we have
Because none can stand the sores of war
…talk less its scars
IV
We are where we live!
We are our land!
We are the hospitables we know!
We are the talkers we love!
So let’s protect our all
By protecting the tree of peace
…under whose shade your voices matter
…as much as mine

Beautiful piece of caution.
Mouth-watering metaphors, parading paradoxes, striking similes, etc.
Great work!
