THE TULIP

The Tulip now lies breathless
Being suffocated by taunting Talibans
Whose thinking wheels are stopped in archaic times
And are now chopping civilization on ignorant boards
To lock women into prisons of themselves
Only to throw those keys into the pockets of their unfit men

II
The Oak takes an esteem fall
Biden being pushed into the fires of fitness
…as to whether his actions fit The Office
Even when voices of millions supported his decision
…to withdraw from a sovereign nation
To stop tongues from wagging about The Oak
…seeking to manipulate many a nation
No wonder leadership is servitude
…in a perfect world

III
Now many flee
As others cry
The world watches
As some citizens try
Futures crumble
As futures build
The lass as grass
Lads being trained to be crass
Horror is the stupor with which we watch
The Tulip turn monster
…to poison its own

IV
Watching from the Impala Lily, I cringe at the horror
As humans hide in burqa in abject heat
To showcase the defeat of their self esteem
To the glorification of their bush gods
Who imposed themselves to crumble their worlds
What is the pauper to do?
Where will the helpless run to?
Who will save the captured?
What will be the song of the unborn?

V
As children watch the chaos in confusion
And parents panic in despair
Prayers are all I can afford from this far
For the Tulip which is being violently butchered by horribles
Whose existence is a threat to peace
…and stability of the innocent

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)

Women all over the world are in mourning over the imposition of rules where women can’t be outdoors without a male relative. I went walking this morning with my mother-in-law as my husband dozed on the couch. Should Afghan women not need exercise? Should their husbands not be allowed naps? Sadness.
