Dear Earth
Thank you for embracing
…and cuddling
…and feeding
…and healing
…and entertaining
…and challenging me
There are many horrors you experience
Our erosion which causes your fertility demotion
Is a shame
Yet we hold our flaws like flags
…hoisting it to do further damage
…everyday
Your trees feed us
But we slaughter them like fowls without replacing them
Your sky covereth us
But we smoke it dry and face its wrath
Your waters quench our thirst
But we litter them
…poison them
…block them only to face their wrath
But we do not learn
I call you Asaase Yaa
I call you Ɔbaatan pa
I call you Ɔdɔ anoboa
I call you our nsiakyibaa
But I hope we see your magnanimity
In order to step on our breaks of mistakes
To have you house us and our generations unborn
In the forever you have been built to be

Actually our earth has given us everything but we have destroyed something for our own desire. We make earth dark . Well written 😊

I like to think I thank the Earth often! She gives us everything and then some!
