Once upon a time
Man ruled a free house thinking no animal guilty of crime
And so goats, fowls, parrots, sheep
…and many others lived as his free animals to keep
Unbeknownst to him
…the animals disliked him to a detesful brim
And so they plotted to oust him
…to his visible powers dim
II
The animals planned to confront him the next day
Ducks, fowls, sheep, goats, guinea fowls, cats, dogs
…decided to confront him by throwing at him word logs
To help him painfully exit
…to help them, the horrors on their chests, spit
And so man being overthrown was the agenda the next day
III
The next day came
…with its to-be fame
All animals turned dumb at the sight of man
They obeyed his every whim acting as his fan
Until parrot could take it no longer
He stood like an elephant, stronger
And chirped like a roar
Acting like he had the backing of all, making him soar
And shouted loudly
…”We will have you not as our lord from here on”, proudly
Thinking the others will back him up
But all of them tried to shut him up
IV
Dog apologized on his behalf
And smacked him on his left calf
Sheep knelt
…to a point that all animals knelt
Leaving the shocked parrot to feel man’s anger
Until he caged him like a danger
V
Parrot felt like a stranger
As he turned into a lone ranger
He kept chirping mournful sounds
And wished his sounds turned into vengeful hounds
But he saw the real actions of the boastful characters late
And had fallen into the bait
Which saw him caged for hundreds of years
Amidsts many dangerous fears
Before he gained a little trust from man
Who still puts on him a total freedom ban
He learnt too late that he who is quick to say
…is mostly slashed with backstabbing knife as pay
