PRIORITIES AND PRIORITIES

Akua Birago cries for all the monies she has lost
She now sees all little things coming with a cost
She feels so lost

Kwame Atoapoma thinks loudly about his failed relationship
He thought he had a great friendship
…with her but ended up dumped over small swerved unplanned skinship
He feels like a lost ship

Yaa Buruwaa says she is tired
…of being fired
…due to company collapses, right after being hired
And says she has job hunting retired

All eyes turn to Kwabena-Bena to speak
He looks left and right with a countenance of a freek
And says “Of all the clothes I thought I’d take off with my beak
…I never for once thought mouth cloth will be one to feel my cheek
Let alone act my steak”

I saw horror on some faces
Stupor on some faces
Anger on some faces
And humour on some faces
I guess each and their problems
Life forces us to after all, choose our own prioritized emblems
