STANDARDS

Standards have become hard to maintain
As many tongues their thoughtful stances fail to their discipline contain
Making order sick in its bed of regulations
Causing laws to go mad due to their many allegations
Why?

II
Some sour trees can produce sweet fruits
This is part of the many truths
…parading untapped on mind streets
Why can’t we grow our sourness to stand firm to help our I’ll treat
So we can harvest its sweet future fruits to help heal our defects?

III
Why do we act like Frankenstein Monsters
Shredding our growth as we trivialize our own matters?
Why do we act like snakes
Chewing our tails thinking our hearts far away in untouchable lakes?
Why do we set fire to our purpose
Only to fan our causes?
Why do we act nnomaa kokonekone
Going to muddy waters only to fly up and scream?

III
We must work the important which scream
And leave the checkers which healthily cream
We must chase the dreams which scream
And leave the regulations which straighten
We sure must work our paths
And leave the worked on functioning fine on its footing without hating
Too much talks deafen to deaden the working
In a majority voice realm and draw setbacks only
…with no forward goals

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
