THE TRICKSTER, THE LEARNED, THE LIAR AND THE IGNORANT

When Corona tiptoed into the human fraternity
And stopped touch in many a hugging community
Many spoke of end times
Many spoke of dwindling dimes
Many spoke of no affection
As many died from the horrid infection
Prayers and medicine dined on different tables
The latter winning according to many cables
All wanted stability in their stables

Then Corona transformed from a blister into a sore
And made restrictions its strict law
Until a vaccine was made
To face the infection and help it fade
Aba spoke with authority
“I know this vaccine will kill majority
I won’t die like a rat due to forced conformity
I will never take it to save myself from calamity”
Mensah nodded his support
Before Edem did report
“If you tell the health workers about your status
That sickness will not act cactus
To hurt you in any way
So forget about what others say”
Mensah nodded
Abla raised her mouth like a flag
To sing through her awesome brag
“I know the many who will die
There were many deaths when they tested abroad, hmmm, let me sigh
I know there’ll be more deaths here
As the vaccine was not made to act fair
It kills the dark more than the fair”
Mensah again nodded

On the day of the vaccination
Aba was the first at the station
She fought for her location
If any tried to cross her
Till she had hers
Edem, cleaning his eyes severally, made sure she saw him
And called Abla who called Mensah to come and see her
That was how all of them took the vacinne
