THE BATTLE OF FOWLDOM

Once upon a time
Fowls wondered why humans decapitated them on many a happy occasion
…as though they had committed an unpardonable crime
So they made debating and experiments their vocation

II
Cocks, at a point, blamed hens
…for not laying enough eggs
Hens shot back that many laid eggs in tens
…and asked how many cocks helped to feed the hatched with their legs

IIb
But cocks were of the view
That if humans got many eggs to eat
Decapitating them will be few
And they will find their living seat

III
One hen reminded them all
That even their fellow birds like hawks
…are also part of the killing corp
And asked why their men call themselves cocks
…if they are killed just because they are fowls?

IV
They decided cocks will work more with their waists
For hens to lay more eggs
Human waters will be poisoned through their wastes
…until sad occasions force them to offer many begs

V
They were in for a shock
The more humans died, the more they were killed
It was as if the heavens did them mock
In their own thoughts’ field

VI
Their self blame intensified
As their murders skyrocketed
Their unfair cries were amplified
As fears of their extinction skyrocketed

VII
But their internal conflicts interfered with the battle for their hunt
Making them a hopeless bunch
As it intensified their many a can’t
Now they still live to be supper, breakfast and lunch

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
