Arms do what they are commanded to do
Shooting even when turned to self
If a man thinks otherwise
Then a shame is his thinking cup

As eyes of our nations
…swim in muddy pools of corruption
And legs turn foolish fins beneath
As hands of our nations
…point blindly at felt problems
And hearts lie on meshes of need
…being roasted by the greedy few
Time stretches the pain of lost blood
Whose bodies were sacrificed to rot
…in hope of our freedom, justice and equal rights
…for elevations yet to be seen on our continent

Visions of the greatest turning worse
And the worst rising to rule rulers
…have been marred by actions appalling
…and crippling inactions
Now we go around in circles of agony
Repeating mistakes long pointed out
…by our trials and errors
Dancing to beats of ails whose healers are in abhorred minds within
From whence will come the slaps of awakening?

We own nothing we see
We live nothing we breathe
We pull nothing we hold
We will benefit not from nothing we hoard
Building for all is our ultimate legacy
…not building for family
Working for the whole is the needed impact
…not working for few
Harvesting mandate in place of justice
…is the place of a doomed leader
Tick is tocking and life is walking
Honour bells are chiming
…even as greedy seeds are growing
But all we do is wallow in the mud pool
Hearing not the needs calling
Seeing not opportunities galloping
As development begs on its knees
On gravels of rot
Such a sad sad state
Making us an addition
…to the failed generations

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
