HANG IN THERE

At the wake of a new dawn
Where darkness replaces the new morn
Those under its sky know
…the foe they must kowtow
Others might act cats to hug
Others might act dogs to nag
They all get tired with time
With notions of you being a whiner all the time
But hang in there

II
It is only the skin wearing clothes with ants
Which feels the bites of the ants
Others might say they know it
Others might claim what they deem fit
Some might think naught of your hurts
Others might even bet on your frets
But hang in there

III
A mind so well and focused
Might wane and turn indecorous
Legs so up and about
Might decide to break and be carried about
Eyes which saw before others
Might generate blocked features of blindness
Mouths with many words
Might shut its doors
…never to ever say a word again
When these torrents of problems fall
Fear not
Shake not
Just hang in there

IV
From the caretaker to the victim
The doctor to the nurse
…fear not
Just hang in there
Life’s up needs a coming down
Its down needs a rising
None stays where defeat rules forever
So just lift your head
Square your shoulders
And hang –
…just hang in there

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
