A new day is like a new baby
Undeserving of troubled past
Even if tears of yesteryears act shady
It will be crass to latch and lust
…for the new baby
II
In the same way it’ll be unfair
To share with it a past worry
If a hurt does claim its pair
It must settle for a sincere sorry
For it will be cruel to hate and bait
…the new baby in its young cradling state
III
So allow it
…to grow its world to fit it
Give it room
…to plant its seeds to bloom
Give it freedom
…to built for itself a mighty kingdom
For it is just a day among many
One which battles to leave memories
…in order to be remembered among the many
Who have already earned many glories

I’m actually not feeling too good just now, think it might be the weather rather than the virus but going to take things easy for a fortnight just in case, that’s why I haven’t been around much recently.

If only life were that way! My life certainly wasn’t. I would call that exception parenting.
