RIGHT IN FRONT

Some say we walk from the back
…before getting to the front
But we have seen women as shadows
…for far too long

I can jubilate us as mates of conductors
But won’t go overboard
Because until a capable she gets into the driver’s seat
…and delivers
Nothing changes
Using them as baits for a harvest of votes
…is an affront in realistic thoughts

Yes, we have come far
Yes, we go through one before two
But we were humans in equality
…before societal relegations
So we must celebrate our strides
…but keep it real

I see women advocates turning political goons
…looking for bouts
…by throwing clouts
…on those with doubts
…and those who flout their worshipping scout
Their sense of direction lost
…in their pursuit of favours
I see some male politicians hiding
…behind their mates
But we all know once they get what they need
They will rise like the sun
…to overtake the sky they hid behind
Running their worlds with closed ears
…ordering mouths
…and instructing with their forefingers

So I will jubilate not
…for crumbs of positions in selfish baits
Yes, I won’t throw my weight behind a bait
…waiting for it to annihilate
…me
Seers see beyond the borders
And are destined to sit it out
…impartially
Or risk being run down by an angry God
So this fence will be my home
Until real fairness abound
…in an equal to equal effectiveness
…devoid of political manipulations stemmed from greed
