WHY DIFFERENCE BECAME A FEAR

Once a god created a mouse
Its squeaks made men meek
But time showed its destructiveness
And same men began to freak out

Then the god created a cat
Its mews wowed mankind
It also went after the mouse
Forgetting same god created them
Getting applause and pats from humans
Till fascination turned into indifference
And mankind called for another kind

The same god created lions
Their fierceness attracted man
Danger the stranger intoxicated minds
They clapped and danced thinking they’ve got some protectors
Lions ate mice at a swoop
Then they ate cats with one chew
Still their roars spoke hunger
So they started eating himans
That’s when the alluring danger turned into anger

Humans began to curse the god
And asked it to kill off the lions
But the god loved all living things equally
…and turned deaf ears to their pleas
So man devised plans to kill the lions
And lions took defense in counterattack

VI
That’s what pushed the good and creative god away from the earth
And deepened the enmity between the living
The act broke trust among the living
Making differences in everything a fear
…fought by same species
