GOD’S INSTITUTION

Once,
A man strayed like a cat
…into a pleasure realm unmeant for him
Leaving his realm of gold a scattered mess
Rains of sadness met her beauty
But many a higher mind met
…and called on his realm to forgive the mess
And she complied

II
Twice,
The same man strayed to eat in a different bowl
His bowl went cold even though she could be easily sold to the best eyes
Cobwebs developed in her
Hurt sealed her treasures
Loneliness packed its bags
…and joined the bowl in her hole
Until a “sense” fell on the man to crawl back
…into the same bowl he left behind
Again, those privy called for an opening path
…for him to safely thread on

III
Thrice,
This same man grazed on another’s land
Leaving his realm turned bowl and land to develop weeds of disappointments
Until after a disastrous battle
…with a rattle snake
He rushed back pleading a saintly birth
But the land had gotten a new occupant
Who treated her well

IV
That is when tongues stood in her hood
…and used her as their rotten food
Some asked if she knew not she was God’s institution?
Some accused her of being a demonic land
…which knew not her territory and owner
Some called for God’s punishment
…and man’s banishment on her
Hooting for her shame
Shouting to dismantle her sanity
Calling her lame
Invoking on her a calamity
There was nothing painful under the sun
…her ears didn’t hear even from other lands

V
Till she found the strength
…to make her statement
“What is good for the gander
…is surely good for the goose”
I saw her strength in the normalized trend
And it was refreshing
God’s institution takes two to man
…not one who must play a fool with another who must use her as tool
