It is true two suns
…can never occupy a sky
…at the same time
But the sky liveth not to day
And changeth its suns by day
While growing into fullness
…its moon by night
Shedding to birth another by the month
So think not only of today
II
Your power towers to cower
Your reign engrains to strain
So feign no amnesia to shed the hands which pushed
…your buttocks onto power seats
You might need those hands to climb down to rest
…before your eternal rest
III
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know care after a power peak
…is what sages must seek?
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know helpers in a power hunt
…are those sages must keep?
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know hurts of helpers
…rain curses of failure on the succeeded?
IV
Eyes only see the crowns
And not heads they adorn
Mouths only hail thrones
…and not buttocks which grace
Ears only hear words of power
Never mouths of fallen failure
So wait for your turn
Or succeed in preparation for a return
You will set and see another rise in your sky
Before you fall into oblivion
That is the law of power
…Succession acting like a flower
…always expected to die for another to bloom

I love your final five lines! So true. A cautionary tale for those lusting for power and glory.
