CHINA ON GHANA

You court China like blind cockerels
Crowing in thanksgiving to quick loans
Which leave debts and aid fraud
As our seas suffer invasion
And our scrupulous watchers lose their lives
Amid fraudsters taking bribes
From some Chinese crooks!

II
You court China like naive maidens
Croacking to their ingenious industries
As most see you as frogs
…on their sumptuous decorated profiteering meals
So as their left hands smooch you
Their right mine your gold
Their left legs destroy and poison your rivers
Their right legs order their stooging security men to kill the protectors of your villages!
When will this ridiculous love fever wane
…to make you sane?

III
You court China like bedmates
Yet when Corona closed its doors
Guangzhou threw your people out
Taunting them under racial fires
…to hang like kites in the sky
Because even their hostile streets
…were too good to host black skin
You still massaged the horror
…and continue to drink from their glasses to your deceitful stupor!

IIIb
Please close your zip to their lass’ waist lips!
And zip your pockets from their bribing rockets!
Please open your eyes to the sweat of our unborn!
And of the nation instead of your gaining situations!
Please wake up to resist oppressors!

IV
Wake up!
Wake up the unyokeness
…of unthoughtful killings of your kins and kindreds
…as opposed to your Aisha Huanging
Even when you catch red handed the worst of them!
Wake up to a new dawn
When you’re only pawns to supposed super powers!
Wake up to reality
Of you on manipulation tables
…being massaged for your natural resources!
Wake up to the truth
That your friendship digs deeper into a sore
…you’ll leave on your future generations!
Wake up to reasoning
That you are exactly who you sell yourself
A begging pauper is but a pity for anyone to own
A wealthy owner rakes in a duty of respect!
The China in Ghana is not the Ghana in China!
The earlier you see that
…the better for us all!

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
