Love is one of the strongest rums
…of emotions
Just the right dose
…keeps the heart aboard the ship of happiness
…balancing challenges in smooth sails
An overdose arrests cognition
…defies will
…kills shame
…suppresses ego and pride
…blinding and deafening and numbing all odds

An alcoholic drunk
…has better fate than a love drunk
As the former is blessed with temporal insanity
…the latter might languish in perpetual insanity
…being ruled by a force all eyes see in the wrong
…but the controlled

Those who never drink from the love rum
…are better off than the overdose
For lack of excitement compares not to shame and derangement
So sip with a tip
…after a toe has dipped to taste
Don’t sip with your hip
…do your legs equip to avoid a slip
So you will not comatose in your body
…and made a robot of another
If the wake be long
…your regrets can fetch an arrow to pierce
…the heart of your future
Draining the blood of your hope
…till its anemic frame breaks
…killing your whole
