KENYA TOWN

Gloria,
You know the gift you’ve bought is euphoria,
Changing my odd spirit name to Victoria
In what can now be part of our best historia
A beautiful beautiful Thursday traveling to a Friday utopia

II
From Nyerere Street to Central Park
…Daily Nation Headquarters to the pilaar joint
Coffee Casa and its literary insights to KFC through a matatu
…without its signature loud music
Sparks did hack our hearts

III
The laughter
The wins
The girls flying through their storms of womanhood
The love
The distance
The wait hoping life will bridge the cold
The bold
The shy
The hands locking right in smiles
Reliving Iseyin and its thrills
As shame is shamed and dames roam free
…in careless spree

IV
How gifted are you to give me a tour
That will so call for more?
How great are you lighting bright
…my soul in a wholesome whole?
How blessed are you touching right
…my spirit in a heartfelt yearning?
I am a Kenyan in a day
…sympathizing with meditating strugglers
…holding on to my purse through naughty streets
…meeting street sellers and hawkers at their hustling best
A reason your season has seasoned my reasoning
…lies in a fate bounded by a future
A future unknown to both you and I

Just a simple Ghanaian trying to find the best in our society. I may be fun, I may be interesting, I may be funny, I may even be foolish or intelligent, but it is all based on the mood in which you find yourself. I believe our minds make us who we are. Know that, pain, no matter its 'unbearability', is transient. Unburden or delight yourself for a while in my writings please. And all corrections, advice and opinions are welcome. Know that you are the king, queen or royal on this blog. :)
