This blessed month, when the small, sweet fruit seems to be everywhere, letโs take a moment to see how something so small can be so beneficial.
Breaking the fast with dates is a well-known Sunnah of the Prophet ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู ย :
ุนููู ุฃูููุณู ุจููู ู ูุงููููุ ููุงูู โ โโ ููุงูู ุงููููุจูููู ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู ููููุทูุฑู ููุจููู ุฃููู ููุตูููููู ุนูููู ุฑูุทูุจูุงุชู ููุฅููู ููู ู ุชููููู ุฑูุทูุจูุงุชู ููุชูู ูููุฑูุงุชู ููุฅููู ููู ู ุชููููู ุชูู ูููุฑูุงุชู ุญูุณูุง ุญูุณูููุงุชู ู ููู ู ูุงุกู โโโ โ.
โAnas bin Malik narrated:
โThe Messenger of Allah ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู would break the fast with fresh dates before performing Salat. If there were no fresh dates then (he would break the fast) with dried dates, and if there were no dried dates then he would take a few sips of water.โ
